about

For those of us and our loved ones who struggle with maintaining mental health and freedom from addiction, things sometimes feel like stormy weather coming in and out of our lives. Unlike a stormy sky that eventually clears, however, behavior and words leave lasting stigma among loved ones and society. It is challenging to reach out with acceptance and forgiveness that reaches beyond past behavior or a diagnosis. It's important to appreciate the people who do that for us and to lovingly respond, to the best of our ability.

lyrics

my seasonal depression can't be cured by weather analysts
and hiding under waves of happy sensations is no way to handle this
thunder peals
and now i'm lashing out
everything i feel, like lightning
comes crashing out
comes crashing out!

streetlights glisten on the wet pavement
i am seeking reconciliation
cause the fractures in this life they break my heart
and i can't fight this feeling that is pressing me down

it may seem like i don't love life anymore
but you know that, this mask i wear, it's not me at the core

streetlights glisten on the wet pavement
everyone else's free advice, well, they can save it
cause they are talking stigma and not support
whispering in hushed tones
it's not helping

people think that they don't know me anymore
but, this mask i wear, you know that it is not me at the core

headlights in my eyes
a stormy night is better spent under cover
serene retreat
no veiled disguise

hold tight to your loved ones

about

Ephemeral Temple St. Louis, Missouri

Particles dance their way from dust and water to the warmth of living patterns finding their way to a cricket's fiddle or a cat's eye or an artist's hand. These are brief but magnificent phenomenons; infinite beauty passing through temporal forms. Life is mysterious and worthy of being asked questions. ... more
